At Norsland Lefse, see lefse being made that is then shipped throughout North America. Tour the Peterson State Fish Hatchery, which annually produces about 70,000 lake trout and 50,000 Rainbow trout for Minnesota’s Trout Program. The nearby Lanesboro State Fish Hatchery produces about 100,000 pounds of rainbow and brown trout each year for stocking. Other unique local businesses or manufacturers may be open for tours by appointment.

Metz's Hart-Land Creamery LLC was formed in August 2014 to diversify our farming operations to include all family members. Our milk is never transported or trucked—it goes directly from our cows to the creamery to you. Our cheese curds are always fresh and squeaky. Try our Artisan block cheeses, Hand Pulled String Cheese and Gelato (Italian Ice Cream). Locally produced honey is also available. Stop out to our farm store to shop all our products plus other locally produced items and let the kids of all ages play on the combine/tractor playground and see the animals.

Norsland Lefse is much more than a coffee shop and bakery. It's a producer of traditional lefse and other Scandinavian treats for more than 30 years. Norsland Lefse is made with real potatoes, with no preservatives to ensure it tastes just like Grandma's! The Gift Shop features Scandinavian items and the Coffee Shop & Bakery incorporates lefse into a unique menu and fresh baked goods.
Nearly 100 years after Peterson Station opened to serve SE MN Railroad customers, it welcomed the public again in 1974 as a museum and genealogy center.
A weekly outdoor market featuring area vendors and a variety of their locally grown, raised or produced foods and handmade wares. Open May 18-October 12, 2021 on Tuesdays 4-6:30 pm on the front grounds of Wellhouse Ministry (former school building), 102 N. Mill Street, Rushford.

You may even borrow a bicycle through the library's BikeShare Program, in partnership with the Root River Trail Towns.
