The Andor Wenneson Inn was built in 1904 along the tracks of the Southern Minnesota Railroad, now the beautiful Root River State Bike Trail. Built by businessman W. Andor Wenneson, the hotel served rail travelers coming through Peterson for many years. Today, travelers continue to enjoy the peaceful and picturesque setting of the Andor Wenneson Inn.
Cushon's Peak Campground is on the Root River and the Root River Bike Trail. Each campsite has a campfire ring and picnic table. The campground has modern, heated, clean bathrooms and showers. In addition to the bike trail, enjoy over 5 miles of hiking trails on-site. Canoes and tubes available for rent, with transportation. Cushon's Peak is home to the SEMBA Bluegrass Festival every May and August.

The city hopes to open tent camping at this location when the pandemic is under control. The fee for tents is normally $10/night.
